#6 The Clipboard Effect
Updated: Feb 27, 2019
Interesting theory. "The Clipboard Effect." Something about it really struck a chord with me so I decided to name my website after this. (And also I just like the way "Clipboard Confidence" sounds.)
I consider myself a confident person. But I wasn’t always. I was needy and insecure as a child. (And as a young adult.) When it came to boys, I was always the one being dumped. (Never the dumper.) I actually have a lot to be insecure about. I’m a high school graduate. (Barely.) I flunked out of college. I’m overweight and have been most of my life. I’m an ex drug addict. I started my business because I was fired from a job I never thought I’d leave. Blah blah blah.
What makes me confident? A clipboard in hand certainly raises the bar. But I believe what really makes me confident is that I’m honest about myself. I own my messes. And my successes. I don’t pretend to be something I’m not, (unless we’re at a costume party or playing charades...or carrying a clipboard.) I’m passionate about keeping it real.
